Free ice skating in East Greenwich? Who knew!
The EG Parks & Recreation department has two ice skating rinks in place during the winter:
• On the Eldredge basketball courts (Cliff Street)
• At Shovlin Park (Lenihan Lane, off Middle Road, west of Route 2)
The rinks are gated and open only when the surface is strong enough to support skating. Note that the Eldredge rink has lights, staying open until 8pm.

Skating is free. Note that there is no skate rental at the rinks, so be sure to bring your skates!
Sledding:
As the winter weather permits, be sure to take the little ones sledding on Academy Field, at the corner of Church & Rector Streets.
